Denis Villeneuve is a French Canadian writer & director. He came into prominence after directing the Canadian film Maelstrom in 2001. In the movie, he perfectly captures the inner turmoil of an alcoholic. It was 2010’s Incendies which brought him the international fame. Incendies follows the story of immigrant twins in Canada who goes to their mother’s native Middle Eastern country. Their journey in the setting of the civil war forms the story.
