Rajnikanth’s way -

When the tamil movie lovers or anybody who knows the tamil cinema heard the news Pa. Ranjith Directs Superstar, they were excited like anything. Superstar Rajnikanth’s fan following is nothing new but at recent times it felt a bit awkward on seeing him doing roles of youth. Especially with the Lingaa everybody was not at all happy with the way they pulled the climax. The director’s response made the fans even more furious. After a long period of silence the response to the fans by Superstar is signing a film with the director Pa. Ranjith who made highly acclaimed films such as Attakkaththi and Madras.

Just like Amitabh Bachchan faced the situation of doing commercial roles in the late 1990s which led him to take a different path. That decision to take a different path started with Mohabbatein, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham, Aks, Sarkar and the list goes on. Most of the films were also commercial success. If it is the same case with the Rajnikanth then it marks the beginning of an awesome chapter in the history of Tamil Cinema.

Rajnikanth, who rose the superstardom over the years have performed many critically acclaimed movies. He is not one of the actors who has to rely only on the action sequences and the star value, he is one of the very few actors who possess a lot of talents. The performances of Rajnikanth in the movies such as 16 Vayathinile, Mullum Malarum, Johnny, Aarilirunthu Arupathuvarai,Thalapathy are evident. He has a charm that conquers every audience. Lingaa would have got more lashes than it have got if it doesn’t have Rajnikanth in it. People love Superstar and no one can replace him, it is high time he has chosen to team up with the team who are the change happening around in the cinema. The movie’s music will be composed by Pa. Ranjith’s regular and the current generation’s sensation Santhosh Narayanan who composed for Soodhu Kavvum, Madras, Jigarthanda.

Just like Boghart says, “I think this is the beginning of of a beautiful friendship”. Or like our own superstar says, “En vazhi thani vazhi”.
