Bernardo Bertolucci is an Italian Filmmaker known for his controversial movies. The director is known for his artistic excellence and the controversial themes in his movies. Last Tango in Paris is one of his best movies that was surrounded by a lot of controversies. He was awarded Academy award for best director for the movie The Last Emperor. This movie is a biography on the Aisin Gioro Puyi, the last emperor of China.

The movie I am spotlighting here in the post is Dreamers (2003). The movie revolves around Matt, an American exchange student who comes to Paris to study French. He accidentally meets Theo and Isabelle in a protest. They bond together for the passion for the movies. Their complicated relationship and their attitude towards various things are explained in a beautiful manner. Set during the time of 1968 Paris Student Riots, this movie is a treat for all movie buffs. This is movie discusses a lot about the attitude of the youth towards music, politics and so on. Against the common notion of erotic drama, this movie captures more.
